Will be located at either our Corby, Derby, Northampton, Rugby, Stoke on Trent, or Worcester sites, with a minimum of 3 days a week on site

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Fleet business area here at Royal Mail.

This role will be accountable for supporting 6 of our workshops across the North and East Midlands cluster (Corby, Derby, Northampton, Rugby, Worcester and Stoke on Trent).


We are looking for someone who will be based out of one of these sites, with some occasional travel to the other sites to support on going business needs.

You will also have the opportunity for some hybrid working with at least 3 days a week based on site.


About the role


The role will be responsible for a range of administrative tasks to support the Workshop manager and wider teams across different sites.

This will entail delivering to daily, weekly and monthly targets related to areas including:

  • Provide full range of administration support to wider team
  • SAP management and PSP administration
  • Data input to relevant systems/software eg Excel, Word, M5 etc
  • Data checking, verification and reconciliation
  • Data analysis to identify problematic issues
  • Maintain accurate and relevant data including filing (electronic and hard copy)
  • Extracting data for query resolution
  • Handle problems and issues effectively with a strong customer focus
  • Liaising with internal and external customers and external supplier
  • Strict compliance with Royal Mail health and Safety procedures

About You

  • Computer literate preferably with experience in a range of software packages including M5, Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc. (or a willingness to work towards)
  • Good standard of organisational skills
  • Able to demonstrate good team working skills
  • Flexible approach and able to work on own initiative within a framework.
  • PSP & SAP trained (or undertake training) this is a desirable skill, but we can provide the training required
  • Good standard of numeracy
  • Working knowledge of internal support functions, processes and systems for example finance and procurement procedures
