Duties:

  • Transferring newly developed products to manufacturing
  • Delivering engineering process improvement for manufacturing issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Overseeing and assessing existing processes and workflows
  • Supporting the transfer of new product developments to production
  • Designing, implementing and testing new equipment and procedures
  • Reporting on process status and changes
  • Tracking metrics to discover areas for improvement and monitor upgrades
  • Communicating findings and proposals to upper management
  • Use of process simulation software
  • Provides thorough instructions for successful implementation of process changes
  • Assesses compliance with applicable safety and quality standards
  • Ensures equipment and processes are compliant

Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Extensive working knowledge of standard manufacturing and engineering processes
  • Familiarity with product development processes and transfer to manufacturing
  • Either an electrical or a mechanical background both would be advantageous
  • Excellent analytical and data handling skills
  • Good presentation of rational and argument to do
  • Ability to persuade others to change existing practices
  • Proven ability to identify, assess and solve problems
  • Proficient with computer and information technology
