Overview of project/role


This role is accountable for working with stakeholders across the business to maintain and support online learning solutions which will help to meet business objectives.

The role holder will also assist with maintenance and administration of the company Learning Management System, providing support and guidance for users of online learning and assisting with driving engagement for usage of online learning.


Key Accountabilities
***- Support the Digital Learning, Data and Systems Support Manager with managing end user expectations. This includes providing detailed reports to show sign up and attendance to digital learning across LU and gathering feedback on service and analysing statistics in order to produce trend analysis by the team lead.

  • Assist in the development of elearning modules and advise on the correct tools, medium and software that should be utilised to meet requirements. Work in conjunction with the LMS Manager to provide system administration of LU Learning Management System for Skills Development users, as well as assisting with the use of external systems, e.g. Questionmark.
  • Support people managers and other stakeholders to define the learning and training needs available for LU staff and actively promote the services of online learning.
  • Analyse information from various sources and prioritise actions appropriately, while balancing requirements with identified.
  • Provide effective solutions by communicating with and influencing people at all levels.
  • Provide common core support to LU SD staff across the data and digital systems support team where required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Knowledge

  • An understanding of the SCORM eLearning standard and the technical structure of eLearning courses.
  • A good understanding of the Instructional Design principles used to develop online learning content.
  • An understanding of the composition and functions of an organisational wide Learning Management System.
  • Knowledge of a variety of eLearning authoring tools and how they can be used in the development of eLearning content.
  • Knowledge of the Skills Development delivery strategy and priorities.

Skills

  • Ability to carry out administration using a Learning Management System.
  • Editing and maintaining instructional design tools (Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate).
  • Ability to be listen effectively and assertively communicate/negotiate with people at all levels.
  • Creating reports detailing learning take up and user feedback.
  • Able to match client requirements and Skills Development delivery strategy to deliver business performance improvements

Experience

  • Working experience of online training interventions to improve capability, behaviours and culture within a large organisation.
  • Experience of producing regular statistical reports for stakeholders.
  • Experience of using eLearning authoring tools, specifically Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate, to develop and maintain eLearning content.
  • Experience of system administration for a companywide Learning Management System, including system set up, maintenance and resolving enduser queries.
  • Experience of using and/or building in Unity (desirable)
