Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi

This position plays a crucial role in conducting diagnostic sonographic imaging using high frequency sound waves, ensuring patient safety at all times.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform various ultrasound studies such as obstetrical, abdominal, and vascular examinations
  • Consult with physicians to select appropriate procedures and equipment for accurate diagnosis
  • Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures
  • Maintain records and financial information for each study
  • Assist radiologists during invasive exams and procedures
  • Conduct checks on ultrasound equipment and report malfunctions
  • Ensure exam rooms are well-stocked with necessary supplies
  • Schedule emergency ultrasound procedures
  • Monitor appointments for ultrasound exams
  • Provide clinical instruction to students and residents
  • Participate in new investigative techniques and procedures

Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in ultrasound, with expertise in doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems using critical thinking skills
  • Strong attention to detail in interpreting clinical data for patient treatment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English with a preference for English and Arabic

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiography with a certificate in Sonography
  • Valid national license
  • Preferably a Master's degree in Medical Imaging or related field
