Job Title: Diagnostic Sonographer at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi
This position plays a crucial role in conducting diagnostic sonographic imaging using high frequency sound waves, ensuring patient safety at all times.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform various ultrasound studies such as obstetrical, abdominal, and vascular examinations
- Consult with physicians to select appropriate procedures and equipment for accurate diagnosis
- Prepare patients for exams and explain procedures
- Maintain records and financial information for each study
- Assist radiologists during invasive exams and procedures
- Conduct checks on ultrasound equipment and report malfunctions
- Ensure exam rooms are well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Schedule emergency ultrasound procedures
- Monitor appointments for ultrasound exams
- Provide clinical instruction to students and residents
- Participate in new investigative techniques and procedures
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in ultrasound, with expertise in doppler, obstetrics/gynecology, and abdominal sonography
- Ability to troubleshoot problems using critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail in interpreting clinical data for patient treatment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in English with a preference for English and Arabic
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Radiography with a certificate in Sonography
- Valid national license
- Preferably a Master's degree in Medical Imaging or related field
