Job Summary:

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team as a Locum Sonographer (Obstetrics) in the Greater London Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality ultrasound services to pregnant patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct transabdominal and transvaginal ultrasound scans for obstetric and gynaecology cases, utilizing advanced imaging techniques to ensure accurate diagnoses.
  • Generate timely and comprehensive reports, facilitating seamless communication with the clinical team and contributing to patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize patient pathways and referrals, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
  • Support training initiatives for junior sonographers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Engage in departmental research and quality improvement activities, driving innovation and excellence in ultrasound services.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Medical Ultrasound, such as a postgraduate diploma.
  • Experience in conducting 12 and/or 20 week scans, with a strong understanding of obstetric and gynaecology scanning protocols.
  • Demonstrated expertise in obstetric and gynaecology scanning, with certification by professional bodies such as the FMF or Society of Radiographers.
