Substance Misuse Community Nurse

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Band 5 Community Psychiatric Nurse position within Conwy Substance Misuse Service. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment and treatment interventions to individuals dealing with substance misuse. This includes risk assessment, substance use effects, social care, and psychological effects. They will work independently in community settings and manage a caseload, supporting individuals in their treatment journey while also overseeing junior staff members.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder must possess knowledge and experience in substance misuse interventions and treatment. Effective communication skills are vital to engage and motivate service users. They will be responsible for developing and evaluating treatment programs, working with both alcohol and drug misuse service users. Candidates should explain their reasons for applying and suitability in the "Supporting Information" section of the application form.
Proficiency in Welsh is advantageous but not mandatory. Both Welsh and English speakers are encouraged to apply.
