Head of Global Knowledge Management - AFRY Management Consulting

About the role:
This newly created senior role builds upon strategy planning already conducted internally and is located in Vantaa or other European AFRY Management Consulting offices like London, Madrid, Berlin, Stockholm, Oxford or Milan - based on the candidate ́s preferences.

In the short to medium term and to ensure the knowledge foundations are in place the role will be hands-on, tracking and coordinating the capture of project knowledge, maintain the knowledge hub, reviewing the quality of knowledge content, and developing templates for knowledge capture. As well as disseminating and communicating knowledge across the business, ensuring it reaches the right audience. (E.g., via a newsletter, knowledge-sharing events, digital communication tools, etc.), and leading the creation of topical and thematic communities of practice, and coordinate their growth and development.

In the medium to long term the role will be more strategic, focused on fostering innovation and growth so therole offers a unique opportunity to build a knowledge management programme from scratch and shape our knowledge management capability locally and globally.

You will work closely with the knowledge management steering committee; identify and coordinate Knowledge Champions to ensure the evolving strategic knowledge requirements of the business are met. You will set global knowledge management standards and maintain quality assurance, as well as drive integration and collaboration across disciplines, geographical regions, and business units. Engaging with all types of stakeholders is key and you will work with IT and operations colleagues to improve the existing knowledge hub. Key to the success of the role is to influence senior leaders to ensure commitment and advocacy for knowledge management.

Your profile

This role requires a balance of hands-on and strategic skills, focusing on fostering innovation and growth in the medium to long term. Candidates should have a strong background in knowledge management and strategic planning along with being proficient in developing and executing knowledge management strategies, tools, and processes.

We expect you to have the following skills (but we don't expect anyone to tick every box). The ability to influence senior leaders to ensure commitment and advocacy for knowledge management is key and to quickly build rapport with multiple stakeholders, and navigate a degree of ambiguity. We are looking for candidates who have skillsin content management and curation as well as experience working with Communities of Practice, including organising, facilitating, holding to account, and supporting with communications. You should have experience in MS SharePoint OnPrem/Online (e.g. building and managing sites), MS Teams, VivaEngage and other MS365 apps. If you haveChartership, certification, or qualifications in knowledge management or allied disciplines that is fantastic but not essential.
