The culinary academy is available in our central London Marriott Hotels, the London EDITION, our Heathrow hotels and the Delta Hotels by Marriott St Pierre Country Club (Chepstow, Wales).

The Qualification

In collaboration with Inspiro, this year we will start our Marriott Culinary Academy, level 2 Commis Chef. The qualification will take 14 to 16 months before your end-point-assessment. You will join us this summer, with orientation days happening in September.

  • Support from your Inspiro coach and hotel mentor
  • Functional skills. Focusing on professional behavior, organizational culture, kitchen safety specification, standards & quality and preparation & cooking methods
  • You will also learn how to use technology in the kitchen and gain knowledge in all food groups (from pastry, to fish, vegetables, pasta, meat, soups, and more)
  • Nutrition
  • Personal and business development & performance

Inspiro has been working successfully with Marriott for many years delivering work-based learning programs that lead to a nationally recognized qualification. Inspiro delivers the assessment, mentoring, and guidance required for the Apprenticeship, which is carried out by Inspiro's Vocational Learning Advisors (VLA) within your workplace. This means that there is no need for you to spend time away from your job in a classroom or at college.
