Hours of Duty: 37.5 hrs (Mon-Fri some 5pm finishes)

Managerially accountable to:
Operational Services Manager

Professionally accountable to:
Directorate Manager

Key Relationships:

All members of the Directorate Management Team Administration and clerical staff Medical, nursing and midwifery staff and other staff within the Directorate/Trust as appropriate.

External contacts, relevant to the nature of the work of the Directorate/Trust, including patients and visitors as appropriate

The post holder will also be responsible for communicating information, both written and verbal, with patients, staff and carers and this will require tact and diplomacy.

Some of the patients and carers that we have contact with are distressed or anxious and it is expected that the post holder will handle telephone and other communications with sensitivity and confidentiality using personal judgement to assess each situation and to deal with it accordingly.
