About Our Client:

Our client is a large manufacturing organisation based in Hull.

  • Providing HR advice for issues such as health and safety, grievance matters, conduct and capability, organisational change, flexible working and all other employee and employment relations issues.
  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with partners, colleagues, centres of excellence, building a strong business relationship with their client group
  • Guiding and developing managers through casework, and escalating appeals as appropriate to the relevant Snr HRBP with specific call out to the following: Disciplines and grievances; absences; flexible working requests; probation; maternity and paternities; etc
  • Provides HR Advice in change management programmes, projects and/or cross functional working groups
  • Supervising and authorising the preparation and delivery of contractual documents including promotions, role changes, terminations etc
  • Guardian of up to date and accurate employee data within the HRIS system and ensures accurate recording of payroll information
  • Creation, delivery and improvement of local HR workshops for line managers alongside the People Services and HR CI Lead. Contributing and delivering local onboarding.
  • Keeps up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of expertise and HR more broadly.
  • Proactively share best practice, intelligence and potential activities within HR function.
  • Be an ambassador for the function and represent the HR team internally and externally (as appropriate)

The Successful Applicant:

  • Sound knowledge of HR practices with the ability to work at pace.

High-level knowledge of employment legislation and hands-on experience of dealing with the full range of HR issues, combined with the ability to advise on more challenging employment issues, including dismissals.

Able to develop and design policies, procedures and training workshops on a variety of HR matters.
Good analysis skills with the ability to distil and summarise information for a variety of audiences
