AWE are currently recruiting for a HR Associate to work in the Contingent Workforce Recruitment Team, who provide support across all Functions within AWE.

This will be a 12 month fixed term contract.


This is an ideal entry level role for someone with a strong administration background with an interest in gaining experience within a HR role.


This role will be to provide efficient and effective administrative and transactional HR services and be a key point of contact support for the business, working to agreed service levels and delivering excellent customer service.

Location - Reading / Basingstoke area

Package - £ £24000 (depending on your suitability and level of experience)

What will you be required to do?

  • Assist with the onboarding of Contingent Workers with the support of our approved supplier
  • Liaising with contingent recruitment, Hiring Managers and suppliers
  • Raising purchase order requisitions in Fusion
  • Supporting the supplier and Hiring Manager with any queries throughout the onboarding process
  • Ensuring all required approvals are in place for extension requests
  • Collating all offer details and upload to HR SharePoint
  • Submitting details to AskHR via ServiceNow
  • Downloading weekly Workday reports to maintain all data
  • Providing Hiring Managers and suppliers with updates of contingent worker onboarding
  • Supporting the wider contingent worker team where required
To be successful in this role you should have the following skills:

  • Good standard of general education, with proven literacy and numeracy
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint or a large ERP system
  • Experience of working in a service oriented team delivering transactional / administrative tasks


This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice.
