What you will be doing?

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HRBP who will play a key role in working in partnership with leaders, key stakeholders and HR colleagues.

You will be responsible for shaping, developing and delivering HR plans and solutions in line with theneeds and priorities of the business.

This is a multi faceted role, encompassing the following Taking Ownership for delivery of projects relating to business units as well as supporting wider Operations & central HR projects.

The role is aligned to the OPAL operational business units.

  • Business partner leadership teams across stakeholder areas, developing and owning people plans.
  • Using HR data to develop insight around key trends and metrics to develop and implement associated action plans.
  • Ownership of Talent, Resourcing, Succession and Engagement plans for OPAL.
  • Ownership of adhoc and key people plan projects and change programmes (these could include reward related initiatives, competency framework, diversity and inclusion)
  • Continuously drive high levels of management capability throughout OPAL. Understand current levels of capability within business units, identify areas for concern and performance challenges, creating an action plan to address and improve.
  • Work with business unit lead team and provide insight to central teams where necessary. Where appropriate upskill and coach managers on raising the bar on performance and having effective performance, development and coaching conversations
  • Work in partnership with wider HR colleagues to support continuous improvement.
  • Working in partnership with Trade Unions, driving effective relationships between them and the business units.

What you will bring to the role?:

  • Solid HR Generalist, who has operated as an HR Business Partner in a complex, matrixed organisation.
  • Experience in partnering and influencing senior leadership teams with a resilient and confident approach
  • Previous experience of working within an Operational led environment would be beneficial.
  • A collaborative outlook to work across the business with the wider HR community.
  • CIPD qualified, or equivalent would be beneficial, but a proven HR Business partnering background is essential.
  • Possess a Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for enhancing and developing better process.
