My client is a Manufacturing business who are looking for a Financial Controller to look after their Finance function for their UK subsidiary. This role is a standalone position, so the chosen candidate must be comfortable with both transactional and higher level accounting. We are looking for candidates who are CIMA or AAT qualified.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of the control report monthly with commentary and variance analysis
- Cash Flow forecasting
- Co-ordinating and creating an annual budget (bottom up)
- Presenting the financial presentations to the board of directors twice annually.
- Book-keeping to include journals, purchase, and sales ledger. (includes credit control and creditor payments).
- Providing payroll, commission, and bonus information to the outsourced payroll provider and ensuring timely payments of payroll.
- Checking and paying of expense claims.
- Support tenders or frameworks with the financial information.
- Manage local insurances such as buildings, inventory, public and employers' liability etc
The ideal candidate will:
- Have be an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller, and have experience working in either a standalone or SME environment
- Be AAT or CIMA qualified
