CLINICAL DUTIES Participate in the office based system of single point of access for screening, accepting and signposting referrals onward.

Giving specialist advice to G.Ps and other referrers, making decisions based on level of need, urgency and risk.

Provide clinical specialist advice to other professionals on the assessment and intervention of clients in respect of their mental health needs Potentially undertake psychological therapy assessments including risk assessment and risk management and any other assessments that may required by the service.

Work unaccompanied as a lone worker in accordance with health and safety requirements when required Maintain appropriate, up-to-date, written and electronic records and activity data in accordance with Professional and Trust standards Respect the individuality, values, cultural and religious diversity of clients and contribute to the provision of a service sensitive to those needs MANAGEMENT The service may require the post-holder to offer supervision to subordinate staff The post-holder will receive management supervision from the Team Manager As required, provide any reports and information which are requested by the post-holders line manager, or which may be routinely required by the service.


To maintain any required Professional registration and membership of Professional bodies which may be required for the regulation of clinical practice.

Participate in appraisal, personal development planning, including ongoing Professional development and service action planning.

Participate in initiatives as required to promote the effectiveness of the service Proactively participate in line management supervision USER AND CARER INVOLVEMENT Recognise and respond to the needs of Carers, including when required signposting to appropriate service resources Encourage and support the participation of service users and their carers in the planning and delivery of mental health services Work collaboratively with patient advocates whenever clients are unable to represent their own needs See attached detailed job description and person specification:
