As a Barclays Valuations Control Analyst, you will join our new team who will be providing independent oversight of the fair values associated with the firm's trading portfolios.

What will you be doing?:

  • Handling discussion, reporting and escalation of price testing results with front office and senior management
  • Managing relationships across departments and the desk
  • Communicating and challenging the Valuation control output across areas and products
  • Managing delivery of key projects in pressurised circumstances as well as influencing others to do so
  • Escalating Valuation problems and issues in an effective and timely manner
  • Influencing others in the delivery of key projects in pressurised circumstances

What we're looking for:

  • Basic financial product knowledge with an appreciation for Valuation concepts and attention to detail
  • Being able to work in a dynamic and fast paced team environment
  • Experience with MS office
  • Solid change mindset with an inclination for automation

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • A degree in quantitative discipline or a similar qualification and/or professional qualification (e.g. CFA, FRM)
  • Experience in the Valuation control/ Product control /Risk Management trading role of top tier investment bank preferred
  • Experience with Automation tools like Python, Alteryx/ coding experience
