An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Funded Care Finance Team. We are looking for someone who is confident, professional, proactive and extremely organised.


The post holder will support the Funded Care Finance Team to work through complex financial queries, working closely with providers and case managers to resolve any issues that may arise.


The post holder will support the Funded Care Business Manager to ensure that the core business functions are delivered to a consistently high standard.


Core functions of the team include:

invoice management, financial accrual, Funded Nursing Care and Personal Health Budget payment administration, Continuing Healthcare national benchmarking and Personal Health Budget reporting, responses to Freedom of Information requests and staff recruitment.

Check and approve invoices and credit notes working within specified deadlines and resolving complex finance and payment queries.


Support the maintenance of accurate databases and resolve issues in order to support the production of accurate financial projections and timely reporting.

Monitor and check financial data being added to internal patient databases.

Provide specialist secretarial / administration support and advice to the teams.


Take telephone calls for the department when out of the office and use initiative to deal with phone calls and messages.

Manage the electronic diaries for the department, including arranging and changing appointments, prioritising these as appropriate

Undertake administrative duties such as photocopying, faxing and mail-out distributions.

Ensure all urgent and/or confidential communications are received and distributed from/to relevant parties in a timely manner.

Organise and planning events as necessary supporting information material.

Support teams in project management and participating in department events.

Input, monitoring and checking data, required for finite and ongoing projects within the teams

Work with all team members in the collection of information for performance reporting on relevant team projects

Act as a point of contact for teams, dealing and responding effectively with complex queries from stakeholders and passing on relevant information to appropriate team members sensitively and autonomously


Supply the relevant information required for financial management, supporting the head of department and teams by checking and sending invoices for payment.

Run and collating financial reports which may include reports to the Board and senior management as required.

Develop and maintaining effective electronic and paper filing systems, to ensure that information is kept securely and is accessible to other members of the team

Prepare agendas, taking minutes and distributing notes of meetings including typing up of group discussions and interviews as necessary

Provide administrative support including when appropriate to all team members to support a range of department initiatives

Supervise staff in day to day activities as directed


Work together with other administrators/PA's within the Trust to provide an effective network of communication including dealing with visitors to the base and being flexible to cover other administrators' general duties on the base.

Provide guidance and advice on relevant policies and procedures

Participate in Research and Development activities as directed
