Overview

Are you a seasoned legal professional with a knack for commercial matters? Screwfix is seeking a Senior Legal Manager to lead our commercial contracts and supplier relationships. Reporting to the Director of Legal, you'll shape our legal landscape, ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and driving strategic negotiations. If you're a qualified solicitor with a passion for balancing legal acumen with business priorities, we're eager to welcome you aboard

Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you'll work from our head office three days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. Beyond that, how, when and where you work is up to you. With a subsidised canteen, free parking and a comfortable, relaxed environment, we've worked hard to build an office you'll want to work in. We also know that, when it comes to school pick-ups and home deliveries, it's nice to have the flexibility to do both.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard legal interests in commercial dealings with suppliers.
  • Craft and negotiate strategic supplier contracts.
  • Ensure adherence to data protection regulations.
  • Uphold marketing and promotional compliance standards.
  • Provide counsel on disputes and lead settlement negotiations.
Qualifications
  • Qualified solicitor with 10+ PQE in commercial law.
  • Strong analytical and strategic skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Adaptability to meet evolving demands.
  • Ability to work at Screwfix Head Office in Yeovil 3 days per week.
  • Retail experience, preferably in FMCG, highly desired.
