Why this job matters

  • Can you get projects over the line? Are you ready to show us how you've achieved it? We're looking for a dynamic and passionate Project Lead to join our team and drive transformational change initiatives across FND.
  • In this role, you'll work closely with our Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery, from requirements gathering and design to build and deployment. You'll have the opportunity to support large projects and manage your own, and you'll play a critical role in ensuring change is governed effectively and meets key business objectives.
    What you'll be doing
  • As Project Lead you will be responsible for the following:
  • Own and assist in the delivery of transformation programs and projects ranging from £0.5m to £3m, delivery efficiencies of £0.5m to £2m+
  • Lead project governance throughout the project lifecycle, including the creation and management of detailed program plans.
  • Support the delivery of projects from design through build, deployment, and handover into sustain, ensuring alignment with the Openreach Strategy, objectives and scorecard.
  • Identify and manage risks, and issues and support corrective measurement or management through senior stakeholder forums.
  • Work with operational stakeholders to secure endtoend business benefits.
  • Shape internal communication for the business transformation program and secure the commitment of key stakeholders.
  • Carry out postimplementation reviews and consolidate lessons learned to continually improve how the team delivers programs.

Essential Skills

  • To deliver in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
  • Proven track record in managing change delivery programs in a fast-paced environment, including cultural, system, process and people impact.
  • Demonstrative mental agility and innovation with significant analytical capability to tackle complex problems and be able to present back you're finding to all levels of the business.
  • Strong willingness to learn and ability to understand complex theories with a talent for problemsolving.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and insights to drive informed decisions.
  • Ability to make decisive decisions and influence others to achieve the right business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with UK telecoms business products & infrastructure delivery would be an asset.
