The property surveyor will be responsible for delivering industry leading standards of property portfolio management across pub assets within a defined area.

They will be expected to carry the technical competence to deliver all aspects of the role, together with the capability to develop strong business relationships with Business Managers and Pub Partners.


The surveyor will also support our Partners to deliver regular maintenance of their pubs and work with the Greene King Compliance Team to ensure the pubs comply with legislation and are safe.

The role will include delivery of the repairs & maintenance and select development opportunities across a multi-faceted property portfolio to ensure that the value of the portfolio is maintained and maximised where appropriate.

Located in a suitable geographically location to ensure effective and efficient in the delivery of your role which covers East Anglia

Job Description:

As our
Property Surveyor you will...

  • Carry out all surveying duties within a defined geography on a diverse range of pubs
  • Facilitate the effective delivery of a property surveying programme, including capital development projects within agreed company criteria
  • Liaise with the operations teams to provide technical advice and expertise
  • Proactively manage the capital and revenue budgets and deliver best value
  • Participate in industry bodies and maintain awareness of trends, opportunities and changes to property surveying best practice
  • Create proactive maintenance solutions to improve service and reduce cost.

What you'll bring...

  • Ideally, you will be working towards professionally industry recognised qualification: RICS, M B Eng, CIOB or similar
  • Have proven experience of the retail and leisure businesses
  • Experience of maintaining the asset value of the property to enhance, refine and improve its presentation and operating effectiveness
