Our client based in the Oswestry area is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing Shift Team Leader on a permanent basis.

As the Manufacturing Shift Team Leader you will be responsible for managing department performance against the KPI's, ensuring any deviation from target is managed through an action driven approach.

You will be responsible for the coaching and development of the team.
Performance Objectives

  • People manage the line teams within the area.
  • Will step in as Shift Coordinator as and when required.
  • Ensure planned volume is produced in the right time and quality within the minimum required resources on own shift in own area.
  • Coach the line teams to work within LCO ways of working.
  • Lead team meetings.
  • Coach colleagues on behaviours and standards.
  • Enable your team to perform effectively through lead, sense and create mindset.
  • Make key decisions through effective escalation and investigation.
  • Manage absence, disciplinary and annual leave as per the company policy.
  • Manage resources on shift to meet daily KPI's in line with company targets.
  • Delegating tasks and responsibilities to personnel to achieve production plan.
  • Ensure that excellent quality product is produced to specification.
  • Ensure all company, customer and regulatory standards in relation to health, safety, environmental and hygiene standards are implemented and adhered to.
Person Specification

  • Strong management skills ideally in a FMCG environment.
  • Minimum 3 years production supervisory experience.
  • Sound knowledge of production processes.
  • Experience of working within food manufacturing would be ideal.
  • Organised and assertive.
  • Self-motivated and able to use own initiative.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines and changing priorities.
