Medical Electives Lead

The Clinical School wishes to appoint a Medical Electives Lead for the clinical course. This is a secondment opportunity, for three years in the first instance, based at the Clinical School in Cambridge.


The Medical Electives Lead will provide leadership for the outgoing electives component of the Clinical Course (Year 6) and lead management of the incoming electives programme.


Applicants should be experienced clinical teachers with a good level of knowledge and experience of the current Cambridge clinical curriculum and assessment, and with a commitment to medical education.

They should have a good understanding of global health and health inequalities, and an appreciation of the importance of high ethical standards in elective programmes.


The weekly commitment for the Medical Electives Lead is one Programmed Activity (paid at the appropriate rate with respect to seniority) which must be explicit in the individual's job plan.

The closing date for this secondment opportunity is 30 March 2023.
