Band 4 Rehabilitation Practitioner

The Wolfson outpatient cognitive rehabilitation service, based at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton, provides assessment and rehabilitation for those with acquired brain injury and neurological conditions.
At this time we are looking to strengthen our team by recruiting a Band 4 Rehabilitation Practitioner.
You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience of treating patients in a UK health and social care setting, and previous experience as a therapy technician or assistant.
St George's is a teaching hospital and applicants will need to be able to take a lead role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of a rehabilitation practitioner / therapy technician, physiotherapy students and IDT staff in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients with acquired brain injury and neurological conditions.
The role requires you to assist the physiotherapist and the interdisciplinary team by carrying out and progressing treatment plans developed by therapists within an agreed framework.
You will have previous experience as a therapy technician or assistant but will be able to work autonomously without direct supervision to support patients in their rehabilitation plans using advanced communication and therapeutic handling skills.
This role will require you to work across both the inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services and part of this role will involve supporting existingband 2 and band 3 therapy assistants in their development and attainment of clinical competencies.
