Purpose...


CDC - To improve and extend an existing service model to support personal health and wellbeing of West Sussex Carers and promoting new Carer-friendly business partnerships to increase the range of offers available.

To ensure the service is shaped by Carer views and opinion, has efficient working systems in place, and monitor and report on impact including outcomes, activity and contract requirements.

CECC - To grow and develop this existing service through marketing and publicity.

To work in partnership with external scheme providers to ensure the smooth running of the service, providing monthly and quarterly reports to funders.

To support the CECC administrators to ensure details are entered accurately and cards are distributed in a timely manner.

ABOUT YOU*Experience of recruitment, induction, training, and management of staff

  • Experience of evaluating activities and projects

  • Confident in presentation, facilitation, and training techniques
  • Able to work collaboratively to provide evidence of the impact of the work done to support carers
  • Excellent communication skills, able to negotiate, build relationships, advocate for people, and inspire others
  • Able to work autonomously when required
  • Highly competent in use of IT and experience of using a database or CRM system and a willingness to develop further

KEY DUTIES*Line management of small administration team as well as providing mentorship to a Business Engagement Volunteer.

  • Provision of 1:1 support, appraisal, goal setting and day to day management
  • Develop, grow and maintain a local business membership/partnership network/base to extend to a wide geographic spread. Set out and work proactively to a timed plan.
  • As the key point of contact, link with business members on the existing Carer Card directory and identify, contact, encourage and engage new members in liaison with CSWS colleagues and partners.
  • Work closely with the Comms, PR and Engagement Team to provide appealing promotional marketing and source and supply materials, advertising widely.
  • Liaise with the CSWS Carer Engagement Coordinator to embed a coproduction approach and strong West Sussex Carer voice to shaping service development.
  • Manage the processes for recruitment and retention of members, fostering effective work relationships including the analysis of data relevant to these processes.
  • Using a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Relationship Management system, ensure workflow queues are monitored and triaged routinely, and cards are distributed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with carers, members and communities to maximise takeup of both services and membership and ensure details are up to date and relevant. Raise Carer awareness, widen engagement and promote CSWS messages.
  • Manage member surveys, produce statistical and feedback reports to inform membership policy, promotions and recruitment.
  • Collect data for the database and other purposes as required and to monitor, evaluate and report on impact (outcomes, activity and contract requirements).
  • Deliver induction and Q&A sessions (currently via MS Teams) about the Carer Cards service to the wider CSWS staff and volunteer teams as required
  • Attend meetings, produce agendas and prepare and distribute notes, following through on action points and reporting.
