Quality Assistant
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assistant. Our Quality Team is growing and this position reports into our Quality Manager.

Do you like problem solving? Are you Customer Focused? Do you enjoy a varied day's work? As a Quality Assistant, you would be required to assist/support the Quality Manager by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation.

Ensure that the product meets customer's requirements (both internal and external) at each stage of its manufacturing process, carrying out relevant testing and where necessary take corrective action to rectify non-compliance issues.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer and internal complaint handling; lead/coordinate customer communication and any associated returns/investigations.
  • Maintain the Customer Complaint 'work flow' to ensure adequate recording and timely closure of complaints.
  • Coordinate and track customer/supplier product returns.
  • Carry out goodsin, production and other quality checks as required.
  • Manage/assist/develop the nonconformance process.
  • Carry out and assist with internal audits, as required.
  • Review and update Management System procedures, work instructions and other documentation.
  • Update and maintain 'quality' system modules and related product information on Company Systems.
  • Assist departmental managers with internal issues.
  • Assist Quality Manager with problem solving activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures/requirements.

Raising the profile:

As an ambassador of the business, we are looking for somebody to who is self-motivate and a positive thinker.

You will need to manage your own workload within the parameters of other team members and be a proactive team player.

As a key role in our mission for quality this role will be supported with sector specific training.

Given the nature of duties falling within our manufacturing areas, this is a full-time office based role at our UK Head Office in Newtown, Powys.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • This position requires a good communicator with above average troubleshooting skills and diplomacy.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar or transferable role.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Degree qualification desirable or equivalent qualification
  • Understanding of ISO accreditations
  • Knowledge of quality improvement tools and techniques desirable.
  • We are looking for somebody who can capture technical facts and refine them in a simplified way, with strong communication skills and the ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
  • A positive 'can do' attitude.
