This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead Wave 11 MHST Mental Health Support Team in Cheshire. Wave 11 will uniquely delivery support to Sixth Form and College settings across Cheshire. The post holder will join the wider Cheshire MHST Leadership Team and provide clinical and managerial supervision to a range of trainee and qualified practitioners supporting Cheshire's identified education facilities with early intervention and prevention.

Main duties of the job

Successful applicant will join the wider teams in setting up and establishing MHST's as part of the Access function within Cheshire's CWP CAMHS.

As Clinical Coordinator you will manage day to day running of the service and support the Clinical Leads in service delivery. You will also provide supervision and clinical leadership for those in the team including the Education Mental Health Practitioners in training.

We would be particularly keen to interview practitioners with experience in providing clinical supervision in any of the CYP IAPT therapeutic modalities such as CBT, Parenting or Systemic Family Therapy. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of clinical skill and experience and show ability to work in multiagency setting, especially schools. As wave 11 is working with specifically the sixth form and college populations experience with older adolescents will be desirable. Access to transport for work purposes is an essential part of the role as travel across Cheshire will be expected. Flexible and agile work will be expected and a base will be identified and agreed with the successful applicant.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

Masters or equivalent level qualification in health/social care. Core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional) Professional Registration with recognised National Body (HCPC, NMC, Social Work England) Nationally recognised post-qualification, continuous professional development (CPD) related to the core profession (Social Work, Nurse, Allied Health Professional). Leadership qualification or equivalent experience.

Desirable

Supervision qualification

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

Sound knowledge of current professional staff and team development and continuous service improvement. Knowledge of current legislation relating to MHA and Children's Act. Information management and technology skills. The ability and knowledge to signpost to other services.

Desirable

Recognition of the interface between physical and mental health for children, young people and carers. Knowledge of the principles of CYP-IAPT

Experience

Essential

Significant experience working within children and young people's mental health Multi agency/professional working experience. Experience of delivering supervision both clinical and line management supervision. Effective delivery of managing quality and change improvements.

Desirable

Evidence of management experience or further development within a leadership course.
