Deputy Family Support Manager – Hackney


Are you a passionate, dedicated Deputy Family Support Manager looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Deputy Family Support Manager to join a Family Support Team based in Hackney.

Pay rate is £ £27.36 per hour.

6 months initially.

Hours are 9am – 5pm (36 hours a week).

The role:


Encourage and facilitate child development through positive, child-centred learning opportunities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage, Every Child Matters, and Every Parent Matters frameworks.

Develop, coordinate, and administer counselling and parenting support programs for individuals and groups.

Support parents and carers of children aged 0-19 to enhance their understanding of child development and potential, fostering confidence in their parenting role.

Enhance relationships among parents, carers, children, and professionals through effective communication, collaboration, and networking.

Assist parents in acquiring skills and strategies to parent their child as identified during Multi Agency Family Support Team Meetings (MAT) or by the lead agency.

Supervise a team of family practitioners.

Deliver various evidence-based interventions to an assigned caseload of children and families, supporting children to achieve, contribute, and develop within their family contexts to reach their full potential.

Conduct assessments, create, and review support and safety plans for individuals to uphold a high-quality standard of support that fosters independent living.

Assist the family support manager in supervising the daily operations of the staff within the family support team. Ensure that individual professional standards adhere to agreed-upon levels, including full compliance with policy and procedural guidelines.

Ensure that assessments, allocations, reviews, initial and concluding communications with professionals, and evaluations of all referrals to family practitioners are carried out responsibly.

Requirements


A suitable Level 5 qualification in social care or health, such as a degree in Social Work, diploma in counselling, or equivalent.

At least 2 years of managerial experience in the field of children and families services.
Experience in managing cases and offering emotional and practical support to families facing complex needs.
Experience in offering advice, information, and guidance to families through one-on-one sessions, groups, forums, or events.
Strong skills in assessment and maintaining records.

Capability to evaluate the needs of parents and children, and develop, implement, and review a support plan in collaboration with parents and other professionals.

Skill in recruiting, supervising, and fostering the development of a staff team.
Enhanced DBS registered to the update service.
