Business Development Manager

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team, focusing on the South West UK territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business growth, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and identifying new market opportunities within the immunodiagnostics sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence in the South West UK region.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, including healthcare providers, laboratories, and distributors.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
- Sales and Revenue Growth:
- Drive sales growth by promoting the company's immunodiagnostic products and solutions.
- Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements, ensuring profitable outcomes for the company.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company and build industry connections.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on business development progress and opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences minimum.
- Laboratory experience is a plus.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the healthcare or diagnostics industry.
- In-depth knowledge of immunodiagnostics and related technologies is preferred.
- Strong understanding of the healthcare market in the South West UK region.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
