Personal Support Worker
We are looking for an enthusiastic support worker who can maintain a positive contribution to someone's life. An individual who can through a person-centred approach, create a culture to develop skills and achieve desired outcomes.

This is a position for a personal support worker required to assist a 33-year-old male in the community. This position is located in Peel Green and the surrounding area.

Working with this young man will be a rewarding experience for all concerned.

Experience is desired, but not essential as opportunities to attend appropriate training opportunities will be given.

The Role...

  • Supporting the person out of their home for community based activities.
  • Supporting the person to live as independently as possoble.
  • Making a real and lasting difference to the persons life.
  • Completing required paperwork to a good standard.
  • Encouraging positive relations with all involved
  • Duties also include providing assistance with daily living activities, transportation, personal and health care needs.
  • A good level of organization, communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Core Competencies:

  • Must have good written and oral communication skills.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate effectively in writing and oral format.
  • Must have the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to handle information effectively when under pressure.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience working with individuals with developmental disability but not essential.
  • Must have a DBS check or able to obtain the same.

Hours:

  • Monday 5 hrs (10.00hrs 15.00hrs)
  • Friday 5hrs (10.00hrs hrs)
  • Additional hours may also be available (holiday cover)


We are looking for somebody on a self-employed basis, assistance will be given to assist with this if not already established.
