As a Senior Laboratory Supervisor at IDEXX, you will be a key contributor at one of the largest veterinary diagnostic companies in the world.

In this Role:


You will be line manager to a team of direct reports, taking responsibility for their performance, engagement and development in addition to personal goals and overall performance.

Your day-to-day will include supervising and organizing the laboratory, staff, and workflow.
You will problem-solve every day, from trouble-shooting diagnostic analyzers to resolving situational workflow and turnaround time challenges.
You will operate chemistry analyser's including Beckman AUs, Access and Immulite systems.
You will contribute to process improvements, Lean initiatives, as well as follow QA procedures and SOPs.
You will communicate with other related departments to coordinate work and resolve issues as needed.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

To be successful in this role, you'll have practical experience working within a laboratory, preferably with sound theoretical knowledge of Biochemistry to accompany your technical skills.

A minimum of 5 years' experience is preferable.
You will have a BSc in Biomedical Sciences or equivalent.
You will have previous experience leading and mentoring a team.
You have knowledge of human clinical or veterinary testing and procedures.
You are flexible and able to adapt to a fast paced, high volume, innovative, multidisciplined work environment.

Schedule:


The shifts are Monday - Friday alternating monthly to Tue - Sat (between 6:00 - 17:30, sat 07:00 - 3:30pm).

This position is based in Wetherby, UK
