About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity for an Assessment Officer to join our Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine and play a key role in the development of our new Medical School.


In this varied, interesting, and dynamic role, you will manage and coordinate administrative processes relating to the assessment and progression of students undertaking undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Medical School.

You will take responsibility for the planning of complex assessment approaches and for the implementation of processes to ensure the effective tracking and monitoring of student progression.


Using your excellent IT skills and regulatory and assessment experience, you will also support the collection and collation of statistical data and act as a point of contact for external professional, statutory and regulatory bodies to support reporting requirements.


About You

As Assessment Officer - Medical School, you will:

  • Have experience of working in a senior administrative role relating to student assessment and/or medical education
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to convey complex information to a wide audience
  • Be a positive and proactive problem solver with excellent planning, organisation and project management and coordination skills
  • Be (or have potential to be) a dynamic leader of a high performing collaborative team
  • Have successful experience of building working relationships, motivating and encouraging colleagues, and working collaboratively to meet the needs of different stakeholders
