SEP Engineers are a specialist Site Engineering & Surveying company based in Lancashire and operating throughout the UK.

Established in 1986 we have built up an excellent reputation for supporting all manner of Building & Civil Engineering projects with expert Setting-out, Quality Assurance and Record Keeping/As-built Survey services.

Providing support to our Resource Manager, the principal tasks of the role will be maintaining an accurate database of Subcontract Site Engineers, ensuring all Subcontract Engineers committed to contracts meet our Subcontractor Assessment criteria and completing all associated administrative tasks.

Regular communication - through verbal and non-verbal means - with our database of Subcontract Site Engineers to understand the circumstances under which we could attract them to work with SEP Engineers.


  • Accurate recording & maintenance of information such as Name, Address, Contact Number, Email Address, Status, Availability Date, Rate, Experience & Qualifications for all Subcontractors along with any other data that will assist in achieving the principal tasks of the role.
  • Market available contracts to our database using on and offline means such as Text Messages, Emails, Internet Job Boards, Telephone Calls
  • Identify new Subcontractors through the use of on and offline networking, expanding our database numbers.
  • Highlight Subcontractor availability to the Resource Manager, both generally and in relation to specific contracts.
  • Demonstrate an awareness of both business & industry activity to enable relevant & meaningful conversation with colleagues & Subcontractors, particularly in relation to available contracts.
  • Ensure that all Subcontractors that express interest in working with SEP Engineers complete our Subcontractor Assessment, communicating the results to the Resource Manager.
  • Where Subcontractors are engaged by SEP Engineers, ensuring accurate company details are held on file - this includes Limited Company/Payment Company Name, Certificate of Incorporation, VAT Registration, Bank Details & Insurances. Accurate records of Insurance expiry dates must be kept at all times and Subcontractors prompted for confirmation of renewal as necessary.
  • Share all relevant Subcontractor information with our Accounts department to enable payment.
  • Issue Service Contracts to all Subcontractors in advance of the commencement of the provision of services.
  • Ensure compliance with IR35 Legislation by completing Status Determinations for all Subcontractor engagements in advance of the commencement of the provision of services, sharing the results with the Subcontractor and Resource Manager.
  • Ensure that all verbal and non-verbal communication with all parties - customers, colleagues, Subcontractors and other suppliers - is polite, professional & accurate at all times.
  • Be highly organised and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
