The Senior Learning Technologist will be the first member of our newly established Digital Enhanced Learning team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking for an experienced digital learning specialist who can:- Take responsibility for the strategic design, production and delivery of effective digital training for the Trust.
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of our new Learning Management System for the Trust based on Totara technology.
- Support a culture change around digital learning, promoting the use of simulation, digital, blended, hybrid, and social learning arrangements to our workforce.
The role will be based within the Digital Directorate, maintaining positive relationships with our Clinical Education and Organisational Development & Learning Departments under matrix management arrangements.
We anticipate this role will become substantive and there is an opportunity for a leader to influence and shape how our Digital Enhanced Learning team takes shape over the coming years.
The postholder will be responsible for the implementation, delivery and strategic management of our learning management system, working with colleagues across the Trust to ensure a positive digital learning experience for learners, educators and facilitators.
- Over 8,400 full time, part time and bank staff members
- Medical, nursing and therapeutic care provided to over 10,000 children and adults a day

- To take the lead on the development and delivery of our learning management system.
- Act as a central resource for the organisation for advising on digitally enhancing learning technologies, their use and potential in learning, acting as an advocate at all levels of the organisation for digital technologies in education and learning.
- Develop digital technology solutions for learning and training across the organisation.
- To provide daily practical support, as well as guidance, educational theory, and technical expertise to staff for our learning management system.
- To proactively plan, develop, promote, and carry out training and staff development activities to enhance the skills of educators, trainees, and staff in the use of learning technology and to disseminate good practice for the delivery of course materials.
- Analyse and compare complex learning information from a range of sources and systems, provide clear interpretations of data identify barriers and make decisions on solutions to improve digitally enhanced learning across the Trust.
