The role
We have an exciting opportunity in London for an Area Sales Manager to join our sales team. This is a key role within our team working with the A&D community and will also involve building relationships with all other customer groups, developing and securing profitable business from existing customers and actively seeking new sales customers and sales opportunities.
Whether you are a seasoned Area Sales Manager or not long started your career in sales, if you are motivated, design focused and passionate about delivering results through professional and friendly client relationships this this could be the job for you.
Description
- Developing strong and sustainable business relationships with your customer base ensuring these relationships are managed with a high level of trust and integrity
- Seek new business opportunities to sell into a broad range of customers eg. designers, architects, end users and facilities managers
- Establish credibility with all customers; building trust through adding value by providing solutions that meet their needs
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities at proposal stage and throughout the project lifecycle
What will help you succeed
- Experience in furniture specification sales within the A&D industry
- Experience in the interior design industry
- Experience in furniture design or manufacturing
- Understanding of the specification design process with the ability to communicate at each of these levels
- Degree in interior design
- Ability to build good business relationships based on trust and mutual respect
- A track record of developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing accounts
- Previous effective use of CRM and management of an opportunity pipeline
- Sound commercial acumen with an ability to communicate with colleagues and customers to secure sales opportunities
- Ability to prioritise work according to demand and work alongside colleagues to deliver excellent customer service
