CNC Programmers/Operators, based at Walker Park, Blackburn.

This is a fantastic opportunity for motivated and capable
CNC Programmers/Operators, that wish to progress within a dynamic and rapidly expanding machining business

Responsibilities

  • Working within a predominantly medium to high batch machining cell
  • Interpret technical drawings to ensure accurate production.
  • Expertly program, setup, and operate CNC machines using one or more of the specified control systems.
  • Choose and prepare the right tools and materials for each machining job.
  • Vigilantly monitor the CNC machines to guarantee consistent quality in production runs.
  • Conduct regular maintenance routines on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams, aiming for continuous process improvement.
  • Adhere to the highest safety standards and protocols.
  • Diagnose and resolve any challenges encountered during the production process.
  • Stay updated on advancements in machining techniques and control systems to uphold our industryleading standards.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • Ability to program one of the following
  • Haas, Heidenhain, Mazak, Fanuc or Siemens
  • 3+ Years experience working within CNC Programming
  • Highest standards of H&S and Quality is essential
  • Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts
  • Working with various materials including exotic grade alloys
  • A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding & cutting strategy is essential
  • A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team

Working Hours
We have both Day shift and Night shift roles open, in which the times are specified below

Day Shift:

  • Monday to Thursday 7:30am 16:30pm & Friday 7:30am 12:30pm
OR

Night Shift - Monday to Thursday 8:15pm - 6:00am
