We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team at WEC Group Ltd. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production of complex parts
  • Program and set up CNC machines using one or more of the specified control systems (Haas, Heidenhain, Mazak, Fanuc, or Siemens)
  • Choose and prepare the right tools and materials for each machining job
  • Monitor CNC machines to guarantee consistent quality in production runs
  • Conduct regular maintenance routines on machinery to ensure optimal performance
  • Collaborate closely with our engineering and production teams to drive continuous process improvement
  • Adhere to the highest safety standards and protocols
  • Diagnose and resolve any challenges encountered during the production process
  • Stay updated on advancements in machining techniques and control systems to maintain our industry-leading standards

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working within CNC programming
  • Ability to program one of the specified control systems
  • Highest standards of health and safety and quality are essential
  • Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings and deliver conforming parts
  • Working with various materials, including exotic grade alloys
  • A detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding, and cutting strategy is essential
  • A good communicator at all levels, with the ability to integrate and support a successful team
