About the Role

As a Copy Editor you will be ensuring the accuracy and clarity of written content. You will use your communication skills and attention to detail to edit content successfully.

Responsibilities

  • Editing stories to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency
  • Working collaboratively with reporters to help them improve writing and reporting
  • Ensuring that all stories adhere to Law360 and AP Style
  • Handling six to eight news stories per day, with the opportunity to develop into feature editing capacity

Requirements

  • Demonstrate proficiency in English, Journalism, or a related field at a Bachelor's level
  • Be highly proficient in grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Have experience with copy or sub editing
  • Be able to work collaboratively with a team while also demonstrating self-sufficiency
  • Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Able to use AP style
  • Be detail-oriented and able to maintain focus for extended periods of time
