Work Schedule:

  • Summer: 07:00 to 16:00 Monday to Thursday, 07:00 to 13:00 Friday - 30 mins unpaid lunch per day, 40hrs per week.


  • Winter: 18:00 to 02:30 Monday to Friday - 30 mins unpaid lunch, 40 hours per week.

Winter hours run between November - March, divided among the team.

Purpose:

To provide effective grounds maintenance assistance at Broughton, ensuring the grounds maintain a pristine appearance as required.

Adhere to safety protocols while executing tasks and follow management directives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain CBRE's professional image.
  • Build and upkeep a positive rapport with colleagues and clients.
  • Execute Planned Preventative Grounds & Horticultural Maintenance as per schedules and best practices, including Winter Contingency and gritting.
  • Report defects to Line Manager.
  • Undertake reactive repairs as directed.
  • Clean litter, leaves, debris, and spillages.
  • Utilize road sweeper for site cleaning.
  • Empty waste and recycling bins.
  • Keep drains clear of debris.
  • Handle waste disposal securely.
  • Assist with deliveries and porterage tasks.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as painting and fixtures.
  • Maintain QHSE logbooks records.
  • Assist and oversee site visitors like contractors.
  • Abide by Health and Safety regulations, NMS policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication to interact with diverse audiences.

  • Adherence to schedules and planned tasks.
  • Team player with a flexible approach to work hours.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.

Required Skills:

  • Lantra or equivalent qualifications in mowers, tractors, and more.
  • Experienced operators welcome, with training opportunities provided.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Preferred Skills:

  • Forklift truck License (4 tonne or less).
  • Chainsaw license.
  • First Aid Training.
  • Pesticide spraying licenses: PA1, PA2, PA6.
  • Trailer towing license.

Accountabilities:

  • Role covering the Broughton site, reporting to the Head Grounds person.
  • No direct reports under this position.
  • No direct budget responsibilities.
