We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in the Heavy Manufacturing sector. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment, and for implementing maintenance and repair activities to maximize machine efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical equipment and machinery
- Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and optimize production
- Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment-related issues
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent equipment failures
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior maintenance personnel
- Apprentice-trained engineer in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Multi-skilled engineering experience, including welding and PPM/TPM manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, process machinery, gearboxes, and conveyors
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
