About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Hunter Selection. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth running of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance activities and routine safety inspections to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Conduct fault finding and diagnostics in reactive breakdown or planned situations to minimize downtime and ensure efficient production.
  • Plan and execute preventative maintenance on a variety of production machinery and site services to optimize equipment performance and extend its lifespan.
  • Ensure all breakdowns are dealt with promptly and efficiently, while maintaining adherence to planned preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Support project development and implementation to improve manufacturing processes and increase productivity.
  • Adhere to and promote stringent Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) practices and company standards to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to provide proactive support to the plant and equipment, maximizing production output and efficiency.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and implement new ways of working to enhance productivity and efficiency.
Requirements
  • A time-served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
  • NVQ or HNC/ Degree-level qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Proven track record in production engineering, with experience using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
  • Experience of performing maintenance engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment.
