As the Electrical Design Technical Lead, your role involves leading the engineering assessment and safety justification of the SMR-300 for global deployment. You will oversee the design of complex electrical systems and play a key role in submitting the Safety Case to the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) for the Generic Design Assessment (GDA).
Experience should include:
- Expertise in nuclear power station electrical system design
- Creating safety requirements for electrical systems
- Familiarity with relevant IEEE, IEC, EPRI, ISA, and ANSI codes and standards
- Proven track record in leading electrical design engineering projects
Specific Areas of Responsibility:
- Lead Electrical Systems Engineering for operational and emergency power needs
- Develop and implement electrical design strategies for compliance purposes
- Demonstrate the safety of the Electrical architecture
- Oversee key evidence supporting safety claims
- Support the development of the Safety Case for SMR-300 GDA submission
- Coach and mentor team members
- Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders
- Defend electrical design positions
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in engineering or science
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Eligibility to work under 10 CFR Part 810
