The Continuous Improvement Project Manager is responsible for supporting continuous improvement across the College of Social Sciences (CoSS).

Working closely with the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Continuous Improvement Project Lead will deliver the framework to allow us to identify areas of operational efficiency, facilitate process reviews, and implement sustainable improvements.

Support the alignment of continuous improvement initiatives with transformational change plans, working closely with the Transformation Business Partner.
Facilitate process review sessions, including developing process maps, identifying risks and inefficiencies, and recommending improvements.
Deliver project management activities, including defining timelines, coordinating resources, and tracking progress. Manage all project-related documentation and, where necessary, report to Project Boards or steering group(s).

Deployment of University risk policy to identify, assess, monitor, and actively manage risks, whether in a small standalone project or as part of a larger Project Delivery team supporting workstreams across a complex programme.

Measure project performance and maintain transparency by providing regular updates to stakeholders.

Support the Continuous Improvement Manager in building a culture of continuous improvement by promoting understanding and engagement among CoSS colleagues.

Assist in building staff capability through development opportunities and by contributing to a community of practice in continuous improvement.

Network, share best practices, and establish change and improvement links across the University, particularly with the Transformation Team and Project Delivery Team.

A1 Scottish Credit and Qualification Framework level 9,10 or 11 (Ordinary/Honours Degree, Post Graduate Qualification), or equivalent, including being professionally qualified in relevant discipline, with a broad range of professional experience in continuous improvement management role/s.

A3 Experience of end-to-end project delivery.
A4 Thorough knowledge of the project lifecycle and common work practices and approaches for project management.
B1 Project Management Qualification.
B2 Knowledge of Agile project delivery.
C1 Relevant experience of managing projects across the full project lifecycle.
C2 Relevant experience in the delivery of continuous improvement projects.
C4 Extensive experience in the provision of analytical insight to inform high-quality decision-making.
E2 Proven people management skills and motivational skills in formal and informal situations.
This post is full time (35 hours per week) and open ended (permanent).
