Plant Supervisor

You will be responsible for managing the staff under your supervision, seeing to it that all work is carried out to high standards.

Shift:

  • 47.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Flexibility required

Pay:

- £29,000 per annum

Duties Include:

  • Ensure that the lines run in a manner that is both safe and efficient.
  • To monitor staffing levels and inform the Yard Manager should you have any issues.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance checks.
  • To report any breakdowns or issues with the plant to the Maintenance Engineer & Yard Manager.
  • To complete all paperwork in a timely manner, including updating the records of inventory and activity logs.
  • Unload/load materials from incoming/outgoing vehicles.
  • To ensure the absolute safety of yourself and all other members of staff during all aspects of your work.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A good standard of English, both orally and written, is required.
  • You must have high level organisational skills.
  • Effective communication is essential.
  • Forklift licence required.
  • You must be a physically fit.
