Our teams support the NEC Group during event build-ups, live show days, breakdowns and much more ensuring a smooth and safe operation of all services.


As the Duty Security Manager, you will provide 24hr, 7 day a week cover and lead the operational delivery of the campus, a team of control room operators & campus protection officers ensuring consistency and professionalism within the team.


We are looking for a professional, resilient, foreword planning individual to join our team and help create a memorable experience for every visitor and exhibitor who comes to any of the NEC Group venues.


Main Duties:

  • To oversee the security operations centre and all related security operations for the NEC.
  • Client liaison
  • Ensure all areas of service delivery are correctly resourced or the inability to resource escalated through the correct channels.
  • To implement security procedures and access control in accordance with operational instructions, to ensure a safe and secure site.
  • Ensure the security response to incidents is in line with the NEC Incident and emergency plans
  • Ensure innovation and continual performance throughout the life of the contract
  • To effectively line manager those within the team. Including appraisals, performance management and investigations and disciplinary's
  • Lead by example in terms of punctuality, presentation, and professionalism
  • Communicate regularly with staff through formal and informal channels on safety matters to ensure there is a free flow of ideas and that morale remains high.

To be successful you will need:

  • To be customer focused & a team player


 SIA
  • Door Supervisor License & CCTV License
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Have First Aid Training
  • Previous experience in leading a team greater than 10 security officers
  • Strong motivation and team building skills
