Morgan Hunt are excited to be working with one of the UK's government departments who are looking for an experienced Digital Officer (Content Designer) to join their London based team.

The organisation work a hybrid model with 2/3 days in the office a week, and the remainder remote.

The key responsibilities of the Digital Officer (Content Designer):

  • Draft engaging, fully accessible and clear content for GOV.UK (including guidance, blogs or case updates) advising on how it should be shared with users.
  • Oversee regular monitoring, evaluating and analysis of the department's digital communications plans, providing insight and opportunities to improve.
  • Draft and deliver creative digital communications that use a range of engaging content and ideas to help communicate the work the department do (including drafting posts, taking photos, videos and other content).
  • Advise colleagues across the organisation on appropriate digital approaches, in line with their content design and publishing standards.

Skills/experience required:

  • Essential experience of content design, including drafting written content from scratch, iterating based on feedback and user's needs, and is accessible to all.
  • Essential experience of developing creative plans for social media, including use of video, image, design and other engaging tools.
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure that they use the best digital channels to reach target audiences.
  • Demonstrable experience in using data and evidence to evaluate the effectiveness of digital communications.
