An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Recovery Workers to join the new and developing Trafford living well.


The Living Well team focuses on supporting people to connect with their community and draw on a range of approaches to provide holistic support, which may include meaningful occupation, social, psychological and medical support, in partnership with the Trafford VCSE collective.


The service promotes a recovery focused approach to mental health that supports people to live well as part of their community.


The post holder will promote the independence and well-being of client's; assist social inclusion and enable the widest possible expression of each individual's chosen lifestyle.


As a recovery worker you will be working intensively with client's, enabling them to live their lives and achieve their own goals with support from a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, social workers, psychologists, wellbeing practitioner's, Peer support workers, pharmacist and medical staff.


The post holder will support individuals in their recovery and achievement of goals through using a variety of interventions to promote independence, functioning and social inclusion.


Interventions may involve activities of daily living, vocational and educational aspirations, development of family and social relationships, attending appointments, accessing meaningful activities, housing related support as examples.


The post holder will support client's in a variety of settings including their own homes, other accommodation providers and especially in the community.

The post holder will provide support to an allocated group of client's users and promote their on-going recovery.


The successful applicant will be line managed by the Senior Recovery worker and will be supervised by a Mental Health Practitioner.
