**Trafford Living Well - Peer Support Worker**

**19 hours per week (Wednesday - Friday) - 12 month initial contract**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to work in the area of Mental Health recovery and wellbeing. Trafford's Living Well service supports people to gain the right support at the right time, whilst looking to remove barriers to receiving help. Using a person-centred approach, the team work within the Trafford VCSFE sector to provide a holistic model.

The main purpose of this role is to support individuals to establish greater control over their lives, helping to identify aspects of life that give meaning, hope, value and purpose whilst recognising that each individual's recovery is a distinctive and deeply personal process.

The role involves working with individuals on a one to one and group basis. Also working within the wider staff group to ensure that the environment supports the person to reach their individual recovery goals.

As an integral and valued member of the multi-agency team, the post holder will provide support to members of the team, by role modelling and using lived experience of mental health services to shape the quality of the service.

It is essential that you have experience of accessing mental health services and would be willing to share your own lived experiences:

In supporting users of services, the post holder will be required to work closely with Statutory Services, volunteers, and partners, under mínimal supervision.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 19 per week

**Salary**: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 19 per week
