The Kendal based homelessness service has successfully made a difference to the lives of homelessness people in the North Lakes.
As our Support Worker, you'll join a fantastic team, supporting customers with their individual needs to enable them to move on positively into independent living.
Tracy, the Support Coordinator in the service, is looking forward to welcoming and supportingnew colleagues into the team.What will your typical day as a Support Worker look like?:
- You'll work one of four day shifts on a week-by-week basis, 8-4; 9-5; 11-7 or 12-8.We have a Concierge through the night so no night shifts at this service.
- You'll have a Thursday and Friday or Saturday and Sunday off, depending on the shift.
- You'll support twelve customers with daily living activities and provide one to one support to three customers.
- No day will be the same, you'll be supporting customers to develop their skills: cooking; budgeting; accessing community services; taking part in activities; and maintaining their tenancy. When they are ready, you'll support them to move into independentaccommodation.
