Claims Handler - Pet Insurance
Peterborough
Permanent
40 Hours per week - shift patterns between 8am-6pm on a 4-week rotation (1 in 4 Saturdays).
Hybrid working available after the first 6 months (dependant on performance)
Salary - £22,857.


RSA are looking for some great people who are passionate about providing excellent customer service to join our award winning Claims Contact Centre Team.

Here at RSA we provide insurance for our customers across a range of products such as home, motor and pet insurance, supporting customers of MORE THAN, and our partner brand insurance offerings for John Lewis, M&S and Tesco.

The Role
We are looking for people that enjoy challenges, can speak to people and have a keen interest in pets.

You will be taking calls regularly and be able to identify customers' needs and provide a solution in an empathetic, efficient, and professional way.


You will work as part of a team, engaging and supporting your colleagues to deliver excellent service to our customers.

You will have a passion for delivering for our customers and keep your promises.

You will be supported by a team with a wide range of experience, including vets, to ensure you're able to help our customers when they need us.


Your role will include initial training and support during which we will need you to be on site full time to ensure you are happy and confident in your role.


Once a sufficient level of competency has been reached you can choose to be based fully on site or work within a hybrid working environment, we have a minimum expectation of one day per week in the office, although you may wish to work in the office more frequently than this.


What we are looking for

  • Great at identifying customer needs, and problem solving to resolve our customer queries, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • An animal focussed background is helpful but not essential, we just want you to be passionate about pets
  • Computer literate
  • Ability to follow processes and have great attention to detail
  • Excellent time management
  • Previous customer service experience advantageous, but not essential as full training is provided.
