We have an exciting opportunity for you to develop this new role working alongside the Infection Prevention Team within Lincolnshire Community Health Services NHS Trust (LCHS) ensuring all our staff have been FFP3 face fit tested.


We are the primary community healthcare provider in Lincolnshire delivering community-based services aimed at supporting people to manage their own health at home and reducing the need for people to go into hospital.

Please note this is a 7 day service this may include some weekend working

To perform FFPs face fit testing for to all staff within LCHS and maintain up to date records

Role will also include support to staff seasonal flu vaccine programme delivery

Provide Infection prevention training to both clinical and non-clinical staff,

Help in delivering the Infection Prevention audit programme and also answering Infection Prevention related queries

  • The main focus for this role will be Face Fit Testing staff in both clinical and non-clinical roles by delivering the roll out, maintenance and monitoring of a robust and effective Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) Programme throughout the whole of Lincolnshire Community Health Services (LCHS) with the support of the Infection Prevention team.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide an effective and high-quality Face Fit Testing service and provide expert advice and education in all matters relating to fit testing and RPE.
  • To monitor the FFP3 mask usage and maintain accurate records of Face Fit Testing and of Fit Tester training and produce a monthly compliance report
  • The role will also include support to staff seasonal flu vaccine programme delivery
  • The post holder will routinely interact with personnel across the Trust in an appropriate and sensitive manner in line with Trust values who seek information, advice or guidance in matters pertaining to infection prevention.
  • Undertake audits as required according to service need and the infection prevention annual programme
  • Actively work to develop and maintain positive relationships with people at all levels
  • To work in a multi-disciplinary way with other specialist teams to deliver common objectives, e.g. delivery of the fit testing programme and the staff flu delivery programme
  • Support the delivery and contribute to meetings ensuring they are effective and contribute to the overall assurance
10, Act at all times in line with the code of professional conduct and statutory guidelines and be accountable for actions

  • Support the development and delivery of practice-based education and training ensuring that training and education will be responsive and aligned to service needs
  • Support the provision of clinical supervision to peers and operational teams
  • Work as part of the wider patient safety and quality team in monitoring and improving the quality of care to patients
  • Take part in IPC RCA's when required supporting the development and action plans in relation to HCAI's
