Job Title: Learning Support Assistant at Aberdeen City Council

Before proceeding, it is essential to note that roles requiring PVG Membership involve meeting the respective membership costs. This is applicable solely to positions with a full-time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above, encompassing teaching roles and positions at Grade 11 or higher.

The Council will initially cover the PVG membership costs, amounting to £18 for existing scheme members and £59 for non-members. Subsequently, this expense will be deducted from the first FULL month's salary payment of the employee.

About the Role:

The primary objective is to foster effective learning, teaching, personal development, and a conducive environment enabling students to achieve their maximum potential under supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

Possession of PVG membership for regulated work involving children and/or protected adults, or a readiness to acquire the same before formal employment offer.

Key Demonstrable Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in oral communication, literacy, and numeracy.
• Display of empathy, patience, and tolerance, with the ability to positively address diverse additional support needs.
